The Vietnam Poppy

IMG_0348-new-3.jpg

The Red Poppy flower has been the symbol of our remembrace to all our soldiers who died in wars.

More recently, VVA 126 introduced the Green, Yellow and Red Poppy, the Vietnam War colors, as our remembrance to the over 58,279 service members who were killed in the Vietnam War, the 1,592 soldiers who are still missing, and the many thousands who died from their service related conditions after they came home.

The Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 126 has been fighting for veteran causes and providing support to our veterans for over 35 years. However, this year has been a very difficult year for our veteran community. The virus pandemic has caused our organization to cancel our entire in-person fund raising activities. Vital funds for our operation and the many veteran assistance projects we support is in a crisis situation.

We need your support so that we can continue to organize, participate and celebrate our aging community that represents those who served so many years ago in an unpopular war.  We do not get any funding other than what you contribute to our efforts to keep attention to the needs of the warriors who answered the call to arms that so many of our contemporaries ignored.

Your tax-deductible contribution, large or small, will go a long way to help us provide the desperately needed services to our veterans. Please donate now.
