Proof of Vaccination in New York City

For those of you who would rather not carry your COVID-19 vaccination card with you in your wallet, there is a smartphone app that is easy to use and accepted everywhere. it is named the NYC COVID SAFE and can be downloaded from the Apple App Store (free) or from the Android App Store (free). It is very easy to install. It will ask you to take a picture of your official picture ID (driver's license) and a picture of your vaccination card. All you have to do afterward is tap the application icon.  At this time the NYS Excelsior Pass phone app will not work for you if you received your shots at the VA. As of now, the VA does not update vaccination data with the New York State Department of Health.
